The 13th Advocate
Karsten is a violent man at the end of a violent career with no greater ambition than to retire to a well-earned life of ease. But a last drink with an old client goes sideways and he’s suddenly forced to choose a new plan: sacrifice his remaining years in futile resistance, or become the Chosen One and go save the fucking world. The only one who thinks it’s a good idea is the llama who carries his gear.
