A great launch day for Squeak!

Jefferson with Princess Brinnameade, the hero of the book, who is now all grown up.

Thanks to everyone who braved the blizzard and the power outages to come out and share the fun of launch day with us. It was a blast getting to chat with friends and fans and I even managed to meet some new folks as well. The gang at McNally Robinson was great, as usual. And I’d like to especially thank daughter Brinnameade, who has been working on this book with me in one way or another since before she could sit up on her own. She made the grueling bus trip down from Edmonton just to be here for the event and I hope it was worth it for her. I know it was for me.

I also need to express my thanks to Amber Rockliffe at Global TV, who dropped by for the event and then wrote Squeak! such a warm and enthusiastic review for the evening news. Sixty seconds for a local book launch? That was phenomenal! If anybody wants to check it out, here’s the clip.

And lastly, for those of you anxious to see Squeak! in ebook form, you’ll find it available on Kindle now, and it will be coming in other formats soon. Stay tuned.
