A book trailer that isn’t a trailer

To be honest, I don’t think trailers work. Or more accurately, I think that when trailers try to sell a book, they fall flat. Especially because so many of them (my own previous attempts included) have such limited budgets that they end up looking completely amateur.

So this time around, I took a different approach: Forget about selling the book, just have fun. I figure that if a viewer or two find the video entertaining, they’ll wonder whether my book might be entertaining as well.

And that’s how this video was born. An ultra-simple concept, hoping to generate smiles instead of dollars. I don’t know if I succeeded, but I had a hell of a lot of fun trying.
