Crossing the streams

IODStoryBundle-squatFor those anxiously awaiting the upcoming ImmerseOrDie StoryBundle collection, I have exciting news to sweeten the pot. In addition to the eight IOD champions already included—each and every one a guaranteed great read—there will now be a ninth book added to the collection. The folks at StoryBundle have convinced me that the set would be incomplete without something from the curator, so I’ve agreed to advance the release schedule of my own Brotherhood of Delinquents, and it will now be added to the mix.

Want to see if the guy doing all those reviews actually has any game of his own? Well, now you’ll get your chance to roll your eyes, hiss your derision, and send a flurry of WTF vengeance reports right back at me. Written as an homage to all the great adventure serials I read as a kid—the Hardy Boys, Tom Swift, the Three Investigators, etc.—Brotherhood of Delinquents is a modern take on that “boys are smarter than grown-ups” adventure ethic. Only, this time, it’s set in a fantasy realm. They’re lazy. They’re unskilled. And now the fate of the Kingdom is in their hands.

BoD-Cover-Silhouettes-300Tam, Kern, and Merrik are three teenage boys who are all failing at life: a homeless thief, a disgraced baker’s apprentice, and an incompetent smith. But when they witness a strange ritual in the middle of the night, it sets them on a collision course with destiny—and with each other. Accused of crimes they did not commit, the boys must band together to clear their names. And in the process, they just might have to do something useful. WARNING: May contain secrets, puzzles, mystery and/or adventure.

So, itching to see what it’s all about? Well there’s just nine days left to go, and then your whole crazy summer of reading can be purchased for the low, low price of “whatever you want to pay.” See you then.
