Kicking Immersion Up To Eleven

You’ve provably heard me say that immersion happens naturally, all you have to do is get out of the way. And sure, immersion can only survive for as long as you refrain from interrupting it. But beyond “don’t intrude,” what can an author do to create and then enhance the immersive experience?
Well, I explore that today in a guest post over on Jami Gold’s site. It’s a deep dive on the nature of immersion, and it gave me a chance to dig into what I think is really going on in a readers head. (Hint: It’s about evolution.)
